Update. Here's another good example of reusing old data for a new purpose. Scientists digitized old microfilm data from the 1978 Pioneer probe to Venus, and used it to show that Venusian clouds are about 60% water.

I made some maps today showing Toronto's cycling infrastructure and historical collisions with pedestrians and cyclists. I used open data from City of Toronto, Toronto PD, and ESRI for the basemap.

I made some changes to the cycling maps when I got home this morning. I think I like this format better. Plus the PDFs I exported are 1/10th the size on disk!

Here’s a wee puzzle: A mature Open Data focused journal (“Journal A”), owned and launched by an company or Institute (“Institute B”), developed into the flagship of an Academic Publisher (“Publisher C”), runs their own properly archived and citable blog with DOIs etc (“Blog D”).

If a briefly published editorial Blog Post (“Editorial E”) disappears from their Blog, could it be an accident, or something else?
