Passed around 100 people queued up in a traffic jam for school pickups today while on my bicycle. I did not get jammed in the massive traffic jams... although had to do some NYC delivery bike-level traffic avoidance 😬 (i.e. watching for doors). We sure do like our automobiles in SoCal. #BikeTooter

@ai6yr Yeah, I had to drive yesterday (reasons) into town. Total nightmare of congestion. Took over 40 minutes for a journey that takes 10-12 minutes (door to door) on my bicycle. Hey hum.
I hate it when I have to use the car which, luckily, is seldom.

Forgot today that it's faster to travel by bicycle around school pickup and dropoff times than by car around here, LOL. (had a good excuse to drive by car today, had to make sure it was working, and ran two other errands at the same time, one of them out of cycling range). As I was seeing something like 30 cars piling up at an intersection where I normally bike... We are so invested in moving around thousands of pounds of metal/plastic for stuff that doesn't require all that. At least, saw a bunch of kids walking and bicycling home!

Small but good critical mass ride tonight in East Nashville. We’re trying rotating to different parts of Nashville every few months, need to work on turnout as we rotate. Did a little greenway and a little road. Bike ride home afterwards had autumnal spooky vibes. #BikeTooter #CriticalMass
