[P] I swear, my aversion to "canon" grows by the day, I have a draigly disdain for it. "Master, tell them to stop enjoying fiction the wrong way!!" is just such an insipidly wussy, snitchy appeal to authority by a lemming with no imagination. It's just envy of creative people, really, of the dreamers who have their own takes. I get internal consistency, but authoritarian canon robs a writer of the right to an unreliable narrator.
