I assume there are multiple possible sponsors for such attacks, e.g. RU, CN, IR, KP… maybe even Project 2025.
For obvious reasons RU is first on my list, but it's not the whole list.
And I don't know how closely you watch German politics, but Merz has shown multiple times that it's safe not to trust him.

Some people still know the difference between probability and certainty, between assumption and proof.

The Markus Söder this guy is referring to is the Ministerpräsident / Governor of Bavaria. A right-wing loudmouth like Merz, Söder is bragging around how the next Drones at MUC airport will be shot down. Strongmen everywhere, protecting us from those "Russian" drones.
@benroyce They don't have time to listen to anything about the Ukraine war, they're too busy ignoring the genocide in Gaza.
@benroyce i think there have been no Indikation of Russland Origin of those drone sighting yet, in fact it is not totally unlikely it was non political or it could be other parties than russis (which of course does not change anything about keep talking sbout the Invasion war)
Merz says it is reasonable to assume it is Russia
@benroyce the last guy they abregended in Frankfurt the Police said „no Connection to russia“ and also „Happens all the time“.. but I guess there have been different types of deines sighted so we need to see if they can find some of the Military grade Operators soon
@benroyce of course he does, er he also know it was bin laden all along
@benroyce
I don't deny, but there are other options as well ... including a German free-rider problem ( inspired by initial events in #Denmark ) or generally by media coverage, extreme left ( some are here at Mastodon ) and - sorry - I won't exclude US interest in European destabilization.
But it leads to nothing, to no quick results.
And that's my point: We should shut up, ramp up intelligence and get the work done instead of boosting the topic to attract even more actors that long for publicity.

Sure, fuck Merz
But its kind of silly to doubt Russia is doing sabotage. There's being careful. But then there's also denial
Merz is saying it's reasonable to say Russia did it
@benroyce
I don't know where those drones came from and also not who controlled them.
And as far as I understand, we have no information about this, but already hundreds of "solutions".
Right-wing voters supported by #Maga, #Russia and #China would play those cards to destabilize the country. And some social democrats still did not acknowledge proof that have been cheated and used by #kgb since the 70's.
It's inconvenient, but unavoidable to talk about war and to be prepared.
In spite of the fact that the situation is not only difficult, but complex.
