#Gaza #flotilla faces #Israel #blockade as #activists call for #aid access

Several unidentified vessels were seen approaching the international flotilla trying to deliver aid to Gaza Wednesday night.

Their approach comes hours after the flotilla said that Israeli "warships" approached some of its boats & engaged in "dangerous & intimidatory maneuvers" early Wednesday as it neared the #Palestinian territory.

"They are already coming for us. Two dozen vessels are waiting for us," #JoseLuisYbot, a passenger on the #GlobalSumudFlotilla, said in a video posted on social media.

2 other passengers, including #JuanBordera, a regional lawmaker from #Spain's #Compromis party, confirmed the boats' approach.

One said that around 2 dozen vessels were coming & that the #flotilla could be intercepted within the hour.

#Israel said it will use any means to prevent the boats from reaching #Gaza, arguing that its naval #blockade is *legal* as it battles #Hamas militants in the coastal enclave.
This video, courtesy of Davut Daskiran, shows a vessel approaching the flotilla.
An off-camera voice can be heard saying, "(The boat) circulating around us...blocking the way."
Reuters confirmed the video was filmed from SIRIUS, one of the #GlobalSumudFlotilla vessels, by rigging & lines, which matched imagery of the boat.
