Having sat with #QuotePosts for several days now, I'm even more unhappy with it.

I never wanted QPs and have turned it off, but still have it offered to me every time I boost, and most of the time "boost" is the only item in the menu - 80% at a guess.

I use two accounts daily, and dread the second site updating to this feature.

It makes me less likely to boost and has ruined my experience on mastodon.social

I hope we'll be able to disable in our UI rather than it be forced on us.

@Mastodon I have seen that post from other Fediverse software still display quotes as URLs with a "RE:" or "RT:" prefix. Is this something that's already being worked on?

@Mastodon My understanding was that 4.4 rolled out the API interface, and 4.5 would roll out the client implementation. So I made a quote post from my mastodon.social account (@sillapp ), which I follow here from my 4.4 server. However, `quote` is null in my API response for that post (https://mastodon.social/@sillapp/115224601214803141).

And by the way, the option I use most in the toot menu, "Edit" is off the bottom of my mobile screen.
