It turns out that this whole Cracker Barrel bullshit is right wing grifters using evangelicals to harvest money evangelicals. It’s just a way for them to make money.
@Sheril I think the point, since Reagan, has been to prove that government cannot work, by making government not work. For some, the end game is replace its functions with private enterprise, and to take away all legal restrictions on profit. Others just cheer it all on because they think it'll benefit them and they hate being told what to do . . . while absolutely thriving on telling others what to do. They'll gladly kill people to prove government can't work.
