Spain to file complaint at ICC regarding Israel's arrest & detention of passengers on the Sumud flotilla

"Any attack on persons in international waters constitutes a deprivation of liberty under domestic & international law."

More than 400 activists, parliamentarians & lawyers were detained; most have since been deported, including Greta Thunberg.

I guess under Article 8.2.(b).(ii) and 8.2.(b).(xxi) of the #RomeStatute ?

"(ii) Intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population as such or against individual civilians not taking direct part in hostilities;"

"(xxi) Committing outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment;"

Providing humanitarian aid to people subject to a famine is not "taking direct part in hostilities".
