As one example, these quotes from a Kemi Badenoch interview in the Telegraph are the sorts of things which not very long ago would have only *ever* been said by the racist far right. Inan interview with The Telegraph, Mrs Badenoch pledged to stop “silly arguments” about human rights from preventing the government from doing the “right thing”. She said she was “ashamed” Britain's immigration system had allowed the emergence of grooming gangs, with “foreigners raping our little girls”

Robinson’s media platform, Urban Scoop, appears to have buried a long text it published online in 2022 under the title: “Tommy’s Statement: The Jewish Question”. While it is no longer accessible in its original form on the site, the piece was intended to be Robinson’s attempt to analyse the antisemitic comments of the rapper Kanye West about the role of Jewish people in Hollywood and the media. “[W]e should be able to discuss this elephant in the room now that Kanye has opened the door, and because its firmly in the public consciousness” it said. “There are powerful Jewish people, claiming to be Zionists, who have their fingers on buttons of power in the entertainment industry, in big tech, in mainstream media, in the music industry, in Hollywood and in governments.” In a section headed “Do Jews control the media?” Robinson drew on pseudoscientific sources and added that they were in positions of power because “Jews (generally speaking, at least the white European Jews) have an average IQ of 110”.

Since Rowley took charge in September 2022, the Met says it has ousted 1,500 officers who fell short of expected standards. Rowley said: “The behaviour depicted in this programme is reprehensible and completely unacceptable. “Officers behaving in such appalling, criminal ways let down our communities and will cause some to question if their sons and daughters are safe in our cells, and whether they would be believed and respected as victims of crime. For that, I am truly sorry.” He promised that “where there is incontrovertible evidence of racism, ‘misogyny, anti-Muslim sentiment or bragging about excessive use of force”, those responsible would be “put on a fast-track hearing within weeks and on a path to likely dismissal”.
