#DHS moves to bar #aid groups from serving undocumented #immigrants

The DHS is now barring states & volunteer groups that receive government funds from helping undocumented immigrants, acc/to a WaPo analysis of updated guidelines & interviews with #FEMA employees. The new rules also require groups to cooperate with #immigration officials & enforcement operations.

A good sign: #ICE is grappling w burnout & frustration among personnel as agents struggle to keep pace w the admin’s aggressive enforc agenda.

Those interviewed: backed IMM enforc in prin -but:🚨criticized the admin's push for high daily arrest quotas that've led to the #detention of 1000s of indivs with no criminal rec +LT green card holders, w legal visas, & some citizens.

In some cases, officers on raids have gone to wrong addresses *relied on AI...
