First look: Amazon’s $50 Fire tablet

I received my $50 Fire tablet yesterday, and spent the next few hours playing with it. It’s been an education, to be sure. The tablet is similar to an ordinary Android tablet in a lot of ways, but just different enough to fall into an uncanny valley of frustration.
