This was a slow one to be sure but it has enough in the front half to keep you from turning it off.
And wow were the VFX worth the wait.

As I said earlier, "Evil Ed" actor Stephen Geoffreys was also in 976-EVIL (1988) which seems to have a similar level of "whoa" VFX going on based on this still

the movie's faithfulness to vampires having supernatural corrupting abilities is undercut for the sake of a happy ending reuniting the lovers we don't really care about much
I feel like we're nearly in double-digit territory on puppets at this point
