I'm at the Open Science Conference 2025 in Hamburg this week - the conference is kicking off with a keynote by Erik Schultes (from @universiteitleiden ).

The programme has AI written all over it, I hope for interesting, critical discussions instead of #AIhype...

#osc2025 #openscience @leibnizopenscience

A conference room with little natural light, the speaker Erik Schultes stands at a podium on the left that reads "#osc2025", with a projector slide showing the title of his keynote "FAIR and verifiable: The role of FAIR digital objects in trusted AI"

Day 2 of the #OSC2025 kicking off with a keynote by @sonjas0815, who gives a welcome reminder about the broader #openscience principles as well as #FAIR and #CARE principles.

The speaker Sonja Schimmler standing at a podium next to her presentation slide that shows the acronyms of the FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable), CARE (collective benefit, authority to control, responsibility, ethics) and TRUST (transparency, responsibility, user focus, sustainability, technology).

@universiteitleiden @leibnizopenscience @sonjas0815 I’m happy to hear more balanced discussions about Open Science today - less forced focus on #AI, more consideration for #openscience at large.

Great panel with interesting panelists to close off the Open Science Conference in Hamburg #OSC2025
