The Museum is hosting #Apple Day on Sunday, with our doors opening at 1pm - although you are welcome in the gardens before that!

Colin Hatch and his #heritage #engineering team will be working hard, crushing this year's harvest and answering any questions you may have.

#tradition

A collage of photos from previous years' Apple Days, showing the volunteers hard at work cutting apples, and working the vintage machines to crush the apples into juice. It's a great day out.

It's also our *final* Sunday of the season, as well as the final weekend of #SwindonOpenStudios - your last chance to see Jean Bigger's beautiful, finely-worked cross-stitched pieces, a real tribute to traditional skills and #craft.

Rachel 'Bookweaver' Pryor's books and postcard prints will also be on display, and you can always reach her via Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rachelbookweaver/

Two cross-stitch pieces of art, very fine and detailed representations of the fruiting fungi, aka mushrooms. One image shows e-capped mushrooms, the other purple and white. These will go into private family collections at the conclusion of the exhibition.

And a Lazy #Summer #Sunday wouldn't be a Lazy Summer Sunday without #LiveMusic - one of our Suzie's favourites, Splat the Rat.

They're #local, they're lively, and they have something for everyone, as long as it's about murder, love, debauchery, death, insanity, camels, and heart break - and who isn't heartbroken 💔 about camels 🐫 these days?!

A photo of the local band, Splat the Rat. One of them is riding a unicorn. I think you should ask them.
