“The observatories provide detailed carbon dioxide (CO2) measurements across various locations, allowing scientists to get a detailed glimpse of how human activity is affecting greenhouse gas emissions.”

The satellites also measure plant growth and have been very useful to farmers.

Strange that #Trump wants to destroy the satellites (which are in good shape, are expected to function well for several more years, and do not cost that much to maintain).

… considering how much he wants to keep certain people out of the country—

The satellites help predict climate-driven human migration patterns.

(But then again, he does not believe in #ClimateChange . And I suppose if you just ignore CO2, it will go away right… just like if you don’t test for COVID, it’s not there 🙄)

@dalfen It's less strange rather than logical: He (and the guys in his background) want to destroy knowledge, science. His allies dream of the great "crash" before installing a fascist dictatorship corresponding to their #TESCREAL ideologies.
Destroying such a #satellite is connected to the destruction they already do in archives, scientific data, important research (grants) etc.
