@benroyce I read an article about a study that found swearing equates to high vocabulary and intelligence. It also helps to stop pain if you stub your toe etc.

@Gordarnit @griff @benroyce There's a (good) line of reasoning that farmers knew about this, but assumed they'd get a nice big bailout, like the last trade war.
In their eyes, getting free money is better for them than working for it, so they willingly voted for Trump to get it. Now they are unhappy because it's not coming.
Remember: most "family" farmers are millionaires: they own land and trucks and tractors and hire people to help work it. Their calculations are not the same as ours.
