If it does turn out that the Manchester Synagogue attacker was motivated by conflating the actions of Israel with the endorsement of all Jewish people (and to be clear there's no evidence yet that he was), surely the government's request to call off Gaza protests this weekend in response to the attack is just entrenching this erroneous connection in public perception?
