Greater Manchester Police confirmed that two people were killed in a serious incident outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue, while three others remain in critical condition.
The perpetrator was shot by GMP Firearms Officers and is also believed to be dead.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer:
