@randahl I don't know how he imagined this would work. Like usually even American studios use local production teams when filming abroad. As everything this globalized it is just mess of different parties.
As for me I go to the student cinema in my city for more art films and other foreign production films than USA. It is because of price and they sell beer that you can take with you (better than popcorn).

@obrhoff good thing Trump replaced the person in charge of the job statistics, because those numbers need to be manipulated quite a bit to keep up appearances. 🤦🏻♂️ #irony
Personally, I think we will see huge mass demonstrations this year, and because of Trump, this will lead to violent confrontations, which has the potential to steer the US towards civil war.
It is like a child playing with matches next to the gun powder keg.

Portugal and Austria taxe only ads . The others use a Digital Taxe that covers online advertising, selling user data and providing digital platforms.
@randahl Movies and entertainment US industries have been amazing tools of cultural propaganda to sell the US way of life, the so-called American dream. I don't want that world anymore, it's a nightmare. So, let's boycott and protect ourselves by not importing US culture anymore.
