#alttext really isn't hard, it's useful in many contexts, and everyone should do it
you take a little time to describe what's going on, you don't have to write a novel. or just do a quick easy image-to-text generation if that applies
i think of them like subtitles in films, same value

@benroyce @LibertyForward1 @altbot I agree 100%. I take it a bit further. I put a little extra information into the alt text, like an easter egg for anyone who is interested. It keeps my actual post shorter ,which I think is better. But, also, for people who rely on alt text, they don't come away feeling like they got the short end of the stick.
