The US is an active participant in the ongoing genocide. This "peace plan" doesn't erase that genocide in any way, it just pinky promises to do it a little lower intensity from some undefined time period.

He stamps his feet like a four year old. And says that he will throw a tantrum if he doesn't get his lollipop.

But saying that you will support your colleague genocider, is not really the surprise he seems to think it is.
