Biblioteca Vasconcelos, Mexico City.
Designed by Alberto Kalach, this library opened in 2006 in a former industrial site. Only half of the reclaimed land is used by the library, with a lush garden occupying the other half. The green tint of the steel bookshelves and transparency of the walls create a continuity between the two spaces.
