Active since at least 2019, Salt Typhoon has demonstrated advanced capabilities in exploiting network edge devices, establishing deep persistence, and harvesting sensitive communications metadata, VoIP configurations, lawful intercept data, and subscriber profiles from telecom providers and adjacent critical infrastructure sectors.
