@Lazarou I'm not fond of the tiny, compartmentalized part of me that regards those harsh consequences as karma for sheer foolishness, but nor can I deny that it's there.

Some folks *only* learn the hard way, and that's a choice they made. And since those most inclined to trust the techno-fascists also tend to believe in harsh consequences for *others* who make bad decisions...well...
