@Edent @swheritage also provides you the possibility to archive your code and generate your unique hash for a DOI/citable publication: https://www.softwareheritage.org/how-to-archive-reference-code/

@Edent You might also like the direct integration of https://orcid.org that allows to add GitHub profile as a part of listing of academic publications. GitHub shows the identify details as a part of the user profile afterwards.
